Info Design  [ definition ]

[return to index page]

The value of the term information architecture is highly questionable, the activities involved

in the creation of such are congruent with activities involved in the creation of taxonomies.

Hence it is suggested that the term information architecture is a synonym for taxonomy.

Organization, Categorization, and Navigation (e.g., infographic).

How do you make history matter? Allow people to watch history, and possibly step in.

Information architecture principles apply in all shared information environments —

Virtual  such as the Web;

Physical  such as built environments like museum, schools, libraries, hospitals, etc.;

Procedural  such as in flow of information in work processes.
