My Yoga Experience   [part one]

I had the best yoga teachers.

Gülsüm Baydar and Atilla Güllü, they introduced me to the yoga practice

last summer 2007 (photo).  I joined all the three yoga camps they organized,

they were all awesome experiences, simplicity, nature, sport and good food.

The first one was in Mazı (July 2007), the sea was a bit cold, but it felt

like a little paradise, to swim in the morning and to enjoy the sun after

the yoga session.  I remember the host cut and cleaned a 40 Kg swordfish

right on the beach, I had never seen such a thing.  I also swam to the next

beach on the right, around the rocks, with my colleague Gül, it was a nice

long swim.

The second camp was in Göcek at the Inlycia club, a green island with large

blue tents, gentle like a summer love, with an artificial waterway going

through in a circular path and a short pool made of stones.  Many gourgeous

surrounding places.  I had one of the longest swim of my life with Atilla,

enjoying the goggles to look down in the water toward the rocks.

The third camp was in Amazon, another amazing place, where hills and water

fade into each other ; we use the canoe there. The breakfasts were something

like a dream.  I remember that in the end of the yoga sessions there are

meaningful sentences of thankfulness, I like it very much, for the energy

and the presence and the breath of our body.

Gülsüm, who is also a colleague of mine, she is giving yoga courses at school

once a week, she is very kind, I always try to attend.

Yoga feels good, it is a good stretch for the mind as well.

Maybe there are times when mystery is more important than knowledge.

With yoga I realized in a different way that the white page is a magic box.
